Jenna + Max Spicer - Stunning October Wedding in Key West Florida
"What would become the greatest, most amazing, most fulfilling adventure of both our lives began as a single message to Max. The year was 2011, and life would be better forever!"
"Hey Max, Long time no see/talk! I hope you're doing well but from the quick glance at your profile it looks as if you are. I am sending you a quick note because I noticed that you live in St. Louis. My really good friend from work, Jenna, just moved there also. She will be traveling to Chicago often so I put her in touch with my girlfriends there but she doesn't know anyone in St. Louis. I'm going to suggest you guys become friends on FB so you guys could possibly meet up and hang out? Thanks Max ttys!"
This message and the fortuitous turn of events preceding it would be the start of something beautiful. Max quickly took a look at this mutual friend on Facebook and without hesitation agreed to meet his future bride. Really though, he was trying to keep his excitement contained and shouting from the rooftops to the guys at work about the girl he was about to meet.
On May 27, 2011 Max and Jenna met for the first time at a bar beneath Jenna's new St. Louis apartment. After four hours of outstanding conversation, they were off to another bar to meet Max's friends. Things were escalating quickly. The first traveling of the courtship took place a mere two months later. This may or may not surprise you, but it was up to Chicago to see Jimmy Buffett in concert. It was clear these two souls had some seriously good things in common. Max immediately began his work to make Jenna a lifetime St. Louis Cardinals fan, and Jenna similarly was planting the "Roll Tide" gene deep into Max's heart. Both very necessary and successful ventures.
Max and Jenna eventually both found their way to Chicago for career purposes, and have been happily calling it home since. The addition of DJ, a golden lab, in December 2013 gave them a shared since of purpose, and a list of joys to which a limit does not exist. The adventure of cohabitation began in May of 2016 at their beloved Lincoln Park apartment. On November 18, 2017 Max asked Jenna to hang with him forever shortly after picking up their Christmas tree.
"In as few words as possible, we are crazy about one another. The adventures we share, the meals we cook together, the lazy days, the busy days. Every date night had, walk enjoyed, trip taken, and cocktail drank is better than the last." -Jenna and Max
This lovely couple exchanged their wedding vows in front of their friends and family at the ever so gorgeous Audubon House and Tropical Gardens here in Key West, Florida. Guests were welcomed with an island vibe as Courtney Henry played steel drums. Jenn Perez from Simply You Weddings and the guys at Milan Event and Floral really made this wedding vision come to life! Shortly after the wedding guests enjoyed margaritas at none other than the famous Margaritaville Resort and Marina. The Key West sunset came to life and gave Jenna and Max the BEST sunset ever! The partied continued while Scott from Visualize Entertainment kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night.
The reception ended with a beautifully painted portrait by a live event artist and Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show.
The after party continued and so did the memories that will last a lifetime!
Congratulations Jenna + Max Spicer!
